Image credits

Every photograph on this site is a freely licensed picture from Wikimedia Commons or the Pexels library. We use images to show garments, fabrics, colour, styling and the way people actually shop, not to tell you what a body is supposed to look like.

Where a licence asks for attribution, this page is where we give it. Each photo below is listed with the guide it appears on, its original title and author, its licence, and a link to the source page that carries the full licence text. We crop, resize and re-encode files for the layout. Adapted Commons files remain under the source licence; Pexels images are used under the Pexels License.

What the licences mean

CC0 places a work in the public domain: the photographer has given up all rights, and no attribution is legally required. We credit it anyway, because the person who took the photo should be named.

CC BY and CC BY-SA allow reuse, including commercially, provided the photographer and the licence are credited. The share-alike variants add one condition: if you build on the image, your version carries the same licence. Where a Commons photograph has been cropped or resized for this site, the adapted file keeps the licence named beside it.

If you are the photographer of an image shown here and would like the credit worded differently, or would like it removed, write to [email protected] and we will act on it. The same address takes corrections to a misspelt name or a broken link.
