What this site is for

Curve File publishes general information about plus-size clothing: size grading, measuring, fit, fabric, tailoring and care. The content is educational. It is written to help you ask better questions of a retailer or a tailor, not to replace either.

No personalised fitting advice

Fit depends on your own measurements, your proportions, how a garment is constructed and how you intend to wear it. None of that is known to us, so nothing here is advice about your body or about a specific garment you are considering.

A guide that describes how a knit behaves, what ease to expect, or what an alteration can achieve is stating a general rule. Measurements change with weight, posture and the garments you wear underneath, so re-measure when something stops fitting and treat older numbers as rough.

If a garment causes pain, restricts movement or aggravates a medical condition, stop wearing it and speak to a clinician rather than working from a guide.

Accuracy and change

Size charts, patterns, fabric contents and stock change without notice, and we cannot inspect every garment a guide mentions. We aim to be accurate when we publish and to correct errors when they are found, but we cannot guarantee that every detail stays current. Where a guide gives a figure, treat it as a starting point to check against the garment in front of you.

Commission never determines what a guide says, and we do not publish sponsored reviews or paid placements. Where we recommend against a product or a way of shopping, that recommendation stands whether or not an affiliate link exists.

Prices, sizes and availability are set by the retailer. We do not sell anything ourselves and we do not process orders, payments or returns.

Limitation of liability

Curve File is provided on an “as is” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of this site, including a purchase you regret, a garment that does not fit, a size you ordered on the strength of a chart, or a return you could not make within a retailer’s window.

Your purchase contract is with the retailer, not with us. Returns, refunds and warranties are governed by that retailer’s terms and by your local consumer law.

Links to other websites are provided for reference. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, their stock or their privacy practices.
